FINAL CALL 4 NATTY WINE⏰

Hey, Fionn here with another email for you lucky lot.
This is your FINAL WARNING that if you live outside of London then you have until 2:30 pm today to get your orders placed for a guaranteed delivery before the 25th.
Any orders after this will be shipped out as soon as we can, meaning you might well receive those last-minute supplies before the 25th but we simply can’t guarantee it. Our couriers are pushed to their absolute limits at this time of year, and we are choosing to lean on the side of caution to avoid any major disappointments. Feel free to dance with the devil though, worst case you receive a healthy top-up in that grim limbo between Christmas and New Years, could be worse!
If you have the fortune, or misfortune depending on who you ask, of living in London then we are giving you until 2:30 pm on Friday the 22nd of December! Again the earlier the better, but we have a little more wiggle room to sort you guys out.
Now seeing as you had Megan’s top 3 just a few days ago, thought I'd shout out a few of my favourite bottles from this year while I have your attention. After some serious reflection, I have whittled it down the following stellar wines.
3) Pierre Gonon takes the bronze. This was the year when I got my head out of the natty gutter and started appreciating the more classic side of the wine world. This appeals to those who like things a touch wild but also elegant and classy at the same time. Blockbuster stuff showcasing just how good Syrah can be. Dark fruited, spicy, and just oozing class. Modern classic for a reason.
2) Taking the silver is something special from Domaine Ratte. Pound for pound some of the most invigorating stuff coming from the Jura, serious bang for your buck. The whole range over delivers but the Trousseau is my fav. Old vines that are farmed biodynamically and from a top top site. You just know it’s gonna be a winner! Red fruited, a touch leathery, all the spice in the world, and just a whole heap of fun!
1) I'm technically cheating here as I couldn’t pick one wine from my favourite producer, but everything from Radikon takes the gold. Jakot probably nudges it though. These wines changed the game for me. Flirting the fine line between flawed and flawless, there is something so enchanting about how they push the boundaries to the very limit. Certainly not for the faint of heart but I love the lifted VA, the citrus, the spice, the savoury nutty thing. One of those wines that IS dinner. Open a bottle and just marvel at it for a few hours. Ever changing, always delicious. When I’m tired of drinking, a bottle of Radikon always refreshes both the palate and the mind.
