WHO DOESN'T LOVE AN ALLOCATION?🔒

by Megan Jones

Hiiii Fionn on this crispy Thursday morning.

Plenty of fresh-faced arrivals in the warehouse. Some old, some new!

If you missed out last week then I managed to secure a few more bottles of Puffeney. Aren’t I kind? The man has 52 vintages under his belt, and despite retiring back in 2014, he just couldn’t resist pumpin’ out a few more until 2017. This is the swansong bottle before he packed it in for good. Shame, but at 72 I think the man earned his retirement! If you want to drink this benchmark bottle now’s the chance

A few bits of Labet trickled in last week, and some more trickled in this week. Packed for your pleasure. You’ll get your Labet fix at a better margin than most, alongside a mysterious bottle. I like to think I’m pretty good at cherry-picking and I’ll happily take requests if you ask kindly. What’s to lose? Everyone’s a winner.

More Jura? Go on then! Some new Chattilon reds are now live. Phillipe was running the show at Domaine de la Pinte before going alone in 2013. He is big into biodynamics and is an advocate for using soundwaves to create balance in the cellar with the help of his crystal harp and singing bowls
Whatever he’s doing, it’s certainly working. Plenty of the range can be found here.

Freshly faced though is a new Pinot. Alluring in its aromatics, this is a pleasure to drink. Stepping up a gear, we also have his Elite red. Amphora aged to let the fruit sing. So much going on here that I don’t know where to start. This unfurls with each sip. Soul touching.

Because I’m feeling generous you can have access to one more allocation. If you've been paying attention you’ll probably know I’m big into Domaine Dandelion. So it’s with great pleasure that we were offered a small helping of their stupidly sought-after Aligote. A blend of two sites of older vine fruit, this drinks like holy water. So crisp, mineral, and revitalising. Limited af. Get ‘em move on.

Finally, another tasting to sink your teeth into. We’ll be showing off the wines of Cantina Giardino hosted by the lovely Fred from Tutto. These are a reference point for Italian natural wine. They paved the way for so much talent
I adore these unusual, honest expressions. Come see what the fuss is all about! I might even bring in a few back vintages from the personal cellar ;) Large pours, plenty of snacks, and all the chat. You know the drill by now.

Also, our Jura Extravaganza with Wink Lorch is moving fast. Act quick to avoid disappointment. Anyone got a good Comte dealer? I’m putting together an elite, quite frankly silly, BTG and bottle list. Jereboam of Ganevat?
