Far Out M8! How Are We Here Already?
Remember, order before 2:30pm to avoid a somewhat disappointing weekend if you're not already sorted by the Natty Boy.
So, what's new. A chance to invest in both your current and future self. That's priceless. Let's start at the top.
I got me a bigger de Moor allocation this time round. Thank GOD! Natural Chablis of the highest order. There's also some Aligoté floating around for those who like things a little bit fleshier but no less dangerous. Stupidly limited. And when it's gone, you won't be seeing it until 2023. Sooooo, do your thing! OR don't, and prob regret it.
Tried some other booze the other week. They were all v v good tbh but one really bloody stood out. Deux Couleurs Rouge from Yannick Meckert. This bloke has done his dues with some pretty good people (Pacalet being the main) and you can taste it. The texture is a dream, honestly, one of the most pleasurable experiences I had last week, and there were a few ;) One to watch. Rouge and Blanc avails. Time to load up!
Finally, on the immediate pleasure front is a tour de Savagnin et Chardonnay courtesy of Guillaume Overnoy. Pretty decent surname. These run the full range of Jurrasic delight. They're vinous beasts. Give them a good home.
That's a tidy segway into the March tasting... if I don't say so myself. A trip to the Jura. It's gonna be special. I've got some very interesting things lined up. You just need to love the good life. Tickets below.
Bye, for now.
p.s. btg at dan's this weekend is hotting up. Paquet, Bohn, Muller-Ruprecht, Breton, d'Anguera et al doing the work. If you've swung by, maybe you want to leave a google review? And if you haven't swung by, are we ok?
