đ§BIG BEAUJO ENERGYđ§

Hey, Fionn again.
Canât quite believe itâs November already? One of the better months if you ask me. Home to two very special dates. My birthday obviously, and for winos the third Thursday of the month means Beaujolais Nouevau. One of the first bottles that made me think this wine stuff is actually quite good was a bottle of Lapaluâs nouveau. Before that, I assumed all red wine was big, oaked to death cab sav or syrupy sweet supermarket plonk. The rest is history and now this thing called wine is like my job. Pretty sweet if you ask me! Iâll always have a soft spot for Beaujolais and we do the region justice here, better than anywhere else. These are my fav's atm.
If you want something a touch wilder on the more natty end of the spectrum then you should check out Romuald Valot, Beaujolais Villages. Altitude provides freshness whilst the old vines bring complexity. Absolute steal too.
Jules Desjourneys also makes some mean stuff. This might be Village on the label but for sure is Cru quality in the bottle. Plush fruit of course but layers of violet florals and tea-like spice are here too. A touch of tannic grip makes this serious, yet smashable.
The wines from Domaine de la Bonne Tonne also have been hitting the spot. The CĂ´te du Py is a glorious take on this famed site with all the crushed gravel character you could want. The Grand Cras is savory and sultry. Classic Morgon ripeness but with such elegance. Value you just wonât find elsewhere!
Finally, gotta mention Mee Godard showing that Gamay can age gracefully! Built to last Beaujolais that is broodier, and darker than one might expect from the region. These are blue-fruited and densely concentrated. Softed out by time they are all drinking out of this world rn. Still, with long lives ahead! Special shout out to her Moulin Ă Vent which is bold yet delicate at the very same time. How this is possible Iâm not sure. One of those wines youâve just gotta drink to find out!
If you want to taste these and many more then you gotta come to our Beaujolais party. I know weâve been banging on about this but we wouldnât want you lot to miss out on what's gonna be the night of the year! Free-flowing wine and cheese? Câmon, do thing thing. Tix here.
Finally, as we gear up into full-on gifting season Iâve built a few new packs for your pleasure. Our beloved Natty Selector case is great but I know everyone has different tastes. Iâve built a few more specific options for those of you who know what you like! If youâre into the classics weâve got you covered! For the reds see here, and if youâre into faultless whites then see here. However, if you are into the weird and wonderful then we also have youâre back. Natty Reds for those who like crunchy things, and a Natty White pack if youâre into those hazy things! A touch more expensive than our regular selector case but trust me youâll be getting only the very best!
As ever, if you want a specific case being built to suit your needs just flick us an email. We love a good winey chat and will gladly create something bespoke for you!
TAKE IT EASYÂ
XOXO
