11th April – 🌷 I Officially Welcome You To Rosé Season! + Stock Up For Easter + Easter Delivery Details + 💅

by Megan Jones

G'day!

Have you, like me, just realised that it is in fact 4pm on the Monday of a short week and given up getting anything further done? Or do you, unlike me, need a quick distraction from the joys of office life? Either way and all that...

It's a short week indeed, for everyone, including the couriers. So orders need to be placed by 3pm on Wednesday to make sure you're long weekend is well lubricated. We'll be down at dan's all week, including Friday and Saturday making it happen for you too, just because.

The theme today is Pink Wine, a topic so universally misunderstood that it deserves several paragraphs of chat. We're in a golden age for rosé consumption. Never before has there been so many wines, not only good, but interesting, available from so many quality producers. If you're not partaking then I'm really sorry to say that you are in fact, missing out. More for me.

There's fresh arrivals in the Rosato department from the likes of Cantina Giardino, Lamoresca, Le Coste, Sfera and Nervi-Conterno. Wines that scream the Dolce Vita. Refreshing iterations of indigenous varieties, escaping the claws of oak influence to give a true picture of site and grape. Yes, Pink Wine is terroir driven, arguably a more accurate representation too when handled right.

Clos Cibonne have put out another stupidly good 'Tradition'. One of France's great wines, of any lean, this is an age worthy cuvee that's unfortunately hard to keep hands off. On a more natty bent? Maxime Magnon is here to save the day. A Corbieres full of spice and personality that'll keep you up at night in the best way possible.

Don't even get me started on the Austrians, led by Judith Beck, a one stop shop for the value conscious lover of spritely biodynamic wines that actually taste good.
