Finally a cloudy ancestral method wine that’s actually labelled properly. This is a proper colfondo, and to my surprise, it’s priced like one. Even though we’re talking English fruit. What really made this stand out was the hodgepodge mix of varieties. Pinot Gris? Sure. Gamay? Yep, heard of that here. But Chenin? That’s a new one even for me. It’s a lot of wine to dive into and all at a super modest ABV. Texture, a crisp English acid line, and heaps of hedgerow charm. Sensational stuff. ABV: 10%
