Based south of Lake Garda, run by husband and wife duo Alessia and Stefano Bertaiola. The 14 hectare estate sits on the southern slopes of Monte Mamaor, in the lower Bardolino DOC near Custoza, farmed organically and biodynamically across a mix of ancient seabeds and morainic sediment. Third-generation winemaker Stefano has family ties to these soils going back over fifty years! The couple work with a wide range of local varieties from older vines. Spontaneous fermentation, lots of steel and no temperature control and minimal sulphur, let the fruit and fruit alone do the talking.

Essentially exactly the kind of wines we like to champion round here. Well made yet accessible. Flavour without excess fat. Natural wines that are clean and fun.
