So good that J bought one literally mid-tasting. Bought as in desperately needed one for near-instant consumption. Not something you see every day. I get it though.

I’ve done a complete 180 on Spätburgunder in recent months. I used to dismiss it because there weren’t many producers doing the right things. Over-extracted, over-oaked, over and out. Lately, the tide has turned in this part of the world. Restraint, care, and quality are now at the forefront of production.

Carsten isn’t playing around here. Twenty-four months of élevage in barrel delivers the juiciest, most joyous Pinot I’ve had in a very long time. Burgundy fans, trust me. ABV: 12%
