The white label series from Milan is a serious study of both varietal and terroir, and this is comfortably the most compelling Neuburger I've tasted. From a vintage hailed as one of the very best of the last decade, three years of elevage followed by a decent stretch in bottle have rendered the often overlooked grape at its most profound. Golden hued and fruited, this needs a little time to really reveal itself. I had it open for days, only getting better with more oxygen. Reminiscent of something from the Jura, only with a more citric than orchard leaning profile. A must taste.
