Mendall is based in El Pinell de Brai, a dusty town and unlikely hub of Catalunya’s wine scene.

Founded by Laureano Serres Montagut, a pioneer of the region, the project began in 1999 after he left a career in Madrid to return home. He has farmed organically from the start and, since 2002, has worked without added sulphur.

Today he works alongside his daughter Alícia. Together they farm five and a half hectares of high-altitude limestone vineyards in Terra Alta, bringing freshness and lift to the wines.

Made in a tiny cellar and often bottled young, the wines are vibrant, direct expressions of grape and place.
