Margan have 100 hectares of vines, planted both to traditional Hunter Valley varieties and some more experimental ones. It's a proper family affair, with two of the three Margan kids working in the business. They're serious about preserving the land for future generations, minimising spraying and instead using organic and biodynamic techniques to keep the vines looking and feeling good. Breaking Ground is third generation Ollie's project, aiming to provide a modern take on the classic Hunter style.
