After working in restaurants in both London and Brighton, Lucy decided to dive deeper into the world of wine by enrolling in the viticulture and oenology course at Plumpton. After graduating, she headed to Italy, where she worked under the mentorship of the legendary Sasa & Ivana Radikon in Friuli—an experience that left a lasting mark on her winemaking style. So much so she named a wine after her mentor: 'Sasa.'

Lucy then returned to the UK, spending a few years working in vineyards along the south coast, but the call of Europe was too strong. She moved to Catalunya, where she made her first vintage with top-quality grapes and guidance from Ignasi at Vinyes Singulars. It wasn’t long before she crossed paths with Ruben Parara, who gave her the opportunity to work in his vineyards and cellar, where she could produce her own wines.

Now, Lucy farms 4.5 hectares spread across four small parcels in the El Penedès region, focusing on Xarel·lo. The vineyards sit at elevations between 150 and 400 meters, with some vines approaching 100 years old. She works organically, using minimal sulfur and a handful of biodynamic treatments. In the cellar, it’s all about natural winemaking—no additions whatsoever.

In 2022, Lucy moved from Ruben's cellar to a co-op space designed for small-scale winemakers, allowing her to increase production. More recently, she's taken over a stunning 400-year-old cellar in nearby El Bardoc, continuing her journey of making beautiful, thoughtful wines.
