Le Chiuse is one of Montalcino’s benchmark estates: a small, organically farmed property on the cool, north-eastern slope of Montosoli, whose vines once supplied Biondi-Santi’s Brunello Riserva. Today Simonetta Valiani and her son, winemaker Lorenzo Magnelli, follow a rigorously traditional approach, using native yeasts, gravity-flow vinification and extended ageing in large Slavonian oak. The aim is to capture the elegance and longevity that this historic site naturally offers.
