Jorge hails from Coscojuela de Sobrarbe in Huesca, a gorgeous little village at the foot of the Pyrenees. Once surrounded by vineyards, migration to cities and the abandonment of agriculture mean very few are tended today.

He planted his first vines in 2009 and spent over a decade quietly refining his craft, juggling winemaking with his day job as a mechanical engineer. In 2022 he took the leap and went full time, and has since built a serious reputation for producing some of the most beautiful wines in Spain.

Entirely self-taught, Jorge worked backwards from years of tasting the wines he loved, using curiosity, intuition and bags of natural talent to figure out what makes them tick, then applying that to the fantastic varieties growing right on his doorstep. Seriously, look at the absoloute ballers this guy was drinking on his Insta. Jealous!

He farms seven hectares of vines across small parcels sitting at around 600m above sea level, all worked organically. The chalky soils and high altitude give the wines a freshness and luminosity that is hard to pin down but impossible to ignore. The wines are made in a small cellar he and his father dug into the hillside, where gentle handling and careful ageing alone the fruit to sing.

The results are stunning. Precise, textured and with a freshness you'd find in cooler climes yet still married with a spanish soul, one of a kind.
