Grapes here come from five parcels of Chardonnay with distinctly different terroirs - three in the Marne, on clay soils, and two from the Côte des Blancs, on chalk soils. The two terroirs here mean the wine is perfectly balanced between generosity and tension, texture and acidity. The vines are also 45 years old. Say less. Super fresh despite undergoing malo, this is full of marzipan-y nuttiness on the nose, cream and brioche, opening onto a palate of green apple and lime. Finish for days. Obvs. Srs quality here.
