Roberto Conterno is currently at the helm of this iconic estate, having taken over in 2003 when his father Giovanni passed away. Roberto continues the estate’s legacy of producing traditional, earthy, age-worthy wines from Nebbiolo and Barbera. Their most renowned bottles are the Cascina Francia and the Monfortino Riserva, the latter of which is only produced in the very best vintages, and aged for seven years in oak ‘botti’.
