Single vineyard Pinot from Yellingbo in the Upper Yarra, planted over grey clam loam, somewhat unusual for the area, but which works wonders. The classic Upper Yarra perfume is there, but it's underscored by a denser, deeper palate and gripper tannins than you might normally expect. Which is no bad thing. The boldness of the structure is matched by the intensity strawberry and cherry fruit, and they all combine for a wine that's way greater than the sum of its parts. ABV: 13.5%
