The goal of Fuso is to 'search for and bottle Italy’s natural and characterful daily drinkers'. Fuso works with farmers across Italy who are committed to organic viticulture, low-intervention, and terroir-driven wines. The Cala wines are sourced from Dario Serrentino, a Sicilian winemaker known for making highly drinkable and salty island wines. Dario works in the raised 400-meter plains outside the town of Partinico, 30 km west of Palermo. For this delightful skin-contact white, he works with a specific clone of Catarratto called Catarratto Extra Lucido ('extra shiny Catarratto') which gives wines with more texture, depth, and colour that its more widely planted counterpart.
