Purity over power is the name of the game chez Mayard. There’s serious work happening in the vines: agroforestry, soft pruning, cover crops, the whole lot.Whilst in the cellar, there is a lighter touch (in a good way). No additives, no gimmicks, just great fruit only seeing concrete to let that beautiful fruit shine through. Fruit-forward, full of florals and spice. I wish all CdR tasted like this. It's a very wonderful little wine. Must taste producer. Only downside is we have just one case to see us through the year after a tough vintage. ABV: 14.5%
