Whilst 2021 was Aurelie Parla and Julien Maublanc’s first vintage they are no strangers to growing grapes. Based just outside of Arbois up until recently they have been tied up by contracts meaning their prized fruit has ended up down at the local co-op. Taking back the vineyards plot-by-plot as each contract expired they finally found themselves ready to start pumping out their own wines. With 2 hectares already converted to biodynamics and the rest in conversion these guys take the farming seriously! Despite, being well acquainted in the vineyards they were pretty new to wine making side of things. Thankfully, they’re neighbours with some of the worlds very best and sought council with Jean Baptiste Menigoz of les Bottes Rouges, Catherine Hannoun of Domaine de la Loue and Jean
Francois Ganevat to name a few. Newcomers, yes, but these wines are far more than just beginners luck!
