Domaine Jean Foillard, Beaujolais Blanc 2024
Place: Beaujolais, France
Grape: Gamay
Vibe: Iconic
The missing piece of the Foillard puzzle. A Beaujolais Blanc, and a damn good one too. The family were pouring this in the Loire and I was very into it. A classically styled Chardonnay without too much interference. The fruit is lovely, not too flabby, not too thin, sitting in a sweet spot many whites from around here struggle to find. Like all Foillard wines, this will appeal equally to those with a classical palate and those who want things a little more out there. A perfect wine? This latest release only cements why Foillard is widely considered a GOAT, no matter what you like to drink. ABV:13.5%
