Corentin's first wine memory is foot treading Poulsard with Pierre Overnoy. Sounds like a decent childhood to me… Yup, his uncle is Emmanuel.

From there, Beaune and Montpellier for school, then stints at Tissot in the Jura and Dominique Derain in Burgundy. He went to the New World after that, came back, and ended up making wine in Switzerland for La Ville de Morges. He then wanted to find somewhere to start his own project. He wanted something close to both the Jura and his wifes home in Switzerland. He found that in Chautagne. Here he works five hectares of steep vines on molasse soils, surrounded by forest. A single block of vines with Altesse, Jacquère, Pinot, Gamay and Mondeuse. No neighbours and with the cellar at the bottom of the hill. Corentin works mainly with concrete tanks and barrels, giving wine suitable oxygen and time. He has invested heavily in state of the art equipment to work the soil how he sees fit, and in some instances has built his own bespoke tools that are better suited. In the cellar, there are no additions and the wines are some of the most breathtaking from this corner of France.
