Alberto Nanclares tends 2.2 hectares of Albariño vines, divided into 12 parcels, in the sub-region of Val do Salnés in Rías Baixas. He started off working conventionally, but after a few years he gave chemicals the old heave-ho and now works entirely organically, with a sprinkling of biodynamics in there too. The vineyards overlook the Atlantic, so they've all got this fresh, sea-spray thing going on, while the granite soils bring a beautiful minerality.
