Tiberi
Tiberi is a fourth-generation winery located in Umbria, currently run by Cesare Tiberi and his grandchildren Federico and Beatrice. With a modest four hectares planted on rocky schist, marne and galestro soils, the estate highlights local red and white varieties such as Gamay del Trasimeno, Ciliegiolo, Grechetto, Trebbiano and San Colombana. In 2015, the family took a step towards the future of winemaking by vinifying their cuvées without additives – and also by selling to people beyond their cellar door, from which they used to hawk their produce to the locals. The result of the combination of distinctive soils and minimal intervention methods are wines that are simultaneously rustic, hearty, and modern.
