đNEW DIRECTIONSđ

Whatâs up winos,
BOO! I know I told you I was gonna be away this week, so this is coming to you from the past (cue spooky noises). Who knows where I am right now? All being well I should be on day six of my epic Mallorcan walk (yep you read that right, a 90 mile walk is my idea of a holiday. Iâm such a glutton for punishment). Say a little prayer for me n my blisters, if you can spare one. Or chuck me a Compede, if youâre not the religious type. All being unwell I might have packed it in and be sitting by the pool with a cocktail right now. Isnât the future crazy?!
Enough about me, more about you. Or things that will interest you. Such as a long overdue top-up of our very own Domaine Gross. We would have scheduled one sooner but frankly we didnât realise how much you guys were gonna lose your heads over these, so we were scrambling to catch up. Such is supply and demand. Arriving on the pallet weâve got a decent re-up of our beloved Tryo, whichâll be pouring BTG at danâs for the foreseeable. We got through our first lot in literally three weeks, so if you want to pick up a couple of bottles for yourself before theyâre gone, you better move quickly. Also back on the shelves are his delicious pair of cremants, serious fizzers at an unserious price, and his Sonate Pinot Gris skin contact which was absolutely flying out the door at danâs last week. If you missed the memo the first time, weâve still got some bits and pieces of our first Gross shipment, a selection of highly gastronomic skin contact vinos just waiting to be parked next to the gourmet dinner I know youâre gonna cook tonight. Donât sleep on his single white wine, either - proper delicious expression of Alsatian Riesling full of honeyed fruit and petrol.
On a slightly different tack, the eagle eyed among you might have noticed weâre branching out into a highly selective range of hard liquor, because weâre always trying to improve ourselves. Thereâs always been a place in our hearts and on our shelves for the Macvins and Vin de Pailles of the world, but now weâve gone the whole hog. Marc de Gewurz (an excellent use for it IMO), Calvados, Mezcal and even a very special oxy Grillo from Alessandro Viola. If u like your drinks STRONG, weâve got u.Â
Last up in our ever expanding empire - the hardcore OG fans among you will remember our halcyon cider drinkinâ days, and now weâre going back to our roots, courtesy of cideron (like vigneron, geddit?) extraordinaire Julien Fremont. Custodian of some seriously, seriously old trees, his ciders are off the charts, if the charts measure refreshment and deliciousness. And they do. Smash âem here.
Thatâs all I got, since I canât actually predict the future and idk whatâs landed in my absence. Plenty, probably. C u back in real life next week!
xoxo
