Thibaud Pierson
Thibaud Pierson has been working his family's vines around Poligny, in France's Jura region, for several years now. He released his first vintage in 2018, with no formal training or a history of winemaking in his family, instead cutting his winemaking teeth with none other than Tony Bornard and Valentin Morel. Thibaud now tends to one hectare of vines, which he farms organically, and in the cellar the approach is strictly minimal intervention, with no SO2 added. Everything is done by hand, and production is tiny, with only an eye-wateringly small amount making it to our shores. These wines are as alive and vibrant as they come – a real steal, and given the tiny quantities coming out of the cellars, definitely not ones to be slept on.
