WORLDS APART 🗺️🚀

G’day,
Yes, it’s that time of life again. Our email software has become so advanced that I barely need to use my brain anymore. It’s come up with the following? What do you reckon? Has science gone too far?
“Hey! Guess what? It's that exciting period of life once more!”
Either way, it isn’t wrong, and nor are we/you. Let’s chat Worlds Apart!
No, I’m not referring to the niche 90’s boy band, rather one of the most exciting producers/ranges of wines/drinks/people we’ve been fortunate enough to meet/drink on our travels.
Winemaking power couple Louis and Hannah Schofield have been making substantial waves on the home front for several years now, all whilst juggling a young, growing family and Louis’ side thang, making the wines over at Ochota Barrels alongside Amber. We’re stoked to import his wines via LC Selections, especially seeing as now they’re at the wonderful tipping point where they can both build a new winery on their property as well as focus full time on their own label. Truly the stuff dreams are made of.
I met Louis on a stupidly hot day in the Adelaide Hills, like really fkn hot. We walked around bare foot and shared a beer whilst trying the wines. Whilst this all seems ultra laid back and prime for disaster, Louis, like many of the new wave of Australian producers who come across super casual, almost to a fault, is actually meticulous and extremely knowledgeable. You ask a question relating to something unnecessarily specific in the wine, he takes a sip of West End Draught and comes back with an understandable explanation detailing the minutia. It’s a serious combo. Can’t wait to get them over here.
Anyway, wine. We basically took the lot, which is terrible news for the joists of our warehouse but amazing news if you are somewhat thirsty. It’s a range studded with quality but never losing that easy drinking appeal and purity. All the reds, whilst ranging in terms of seriousness, do well out of the ice bucket and the two whites, one a lightly off dry rizza and the other a chardy with a disco ball for a label (me done) cry out for multiple bottles.
Up On The Roof is pouring atm at dan’s if you’re that way inclined, and if you’re lucky enough to live somewhere more exotic than London allllll the wines are available for delivery by hammering the button immediately below here.
Miss you already
xoxo
