Humble beginnings, humble people - Peggy and Jean-Pascal Buronfosse originally trained in agriculture and intended to set up their own small-holding near Rotalier in the Jura. Now they unwittingly find themselves world famous producers of top-tier Jura wines. Peggy started working in the vineyards for Domaine Joly, later befriending the local maestro Jean-François Ganevat. In 2000 this led to an offer from 80-year-old vigneron Raymond Pageault to take over his vineyards. Peggy worked towards full organic conversion which she reached in 2007 and she is now joined by her husband in the vineyard. They have a particular focus on white wines with an impressive range planted mainly on marl, limestone and schist based soils. These are irresistible, complex, delicious wines.
