La Sorga is pretty legendary in the world of natural wine. Anthony Tortul spent six seasons working in vineyards in the South of France before starting up his own negoce project, travelling around the region and picking his favourite parcels to vinify. All his selections are from trusted organic and biodynamic growers, and he doesn’t limit himself in terms of grape varieties – we’re talking Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Marsanne, Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Gamay d’Auvergne, Merlot, Cabernet Franc… etc, etc. La Sorga wines are natty as heck, with no hint of sulphur at any point in the process, and full of energy, life, and a touch of weirdness. Memorable is a word that comes to mind.
