Egly-Ouriet is a fourth generation, family-run business now managed by Francis Egly. He works on eight hectares of Grand Cru vineyards with a recently acquired two-hectare plot of old vine Premier Cru Pinot Meunier. Yields are strictly controlled to an amount that is half of the number considered normal in Champagne, and the wines are often fermented in oak. They are bottled unfiltered and unfined with long aging on the lees before receiving a low dosage. Truly exceptional, some of the best grower champagne on the market.
