Cascina Tavijn is spearheaded by the wonderful Nadia Verrua whose family has been making wines in the province of Asti for over a century. Working with 10 hectares split between vines and hazelnut trees, things here haven’t changed much over time. Always farming organically with the health of the soil in mind, the resulting wines are honest, rustic and delicious. In the Cantina things are done in the traditional way too; wines are fermented with their native yeasts and their elevage takes place either in old botti, cement or fiberglass.
