Bodegas Tamerán, Vijariego Blanco 2021
Place: Canary Islands, Spain
Grape: Vijariego
Vibe: Classic, textural
This variety is nicknamed Diego. Way easier, so we'll stick with that. There's bugger all Diego produced, anywhere, so count yourselves as the 1% here. Acidity is dialled right up here – we can expect a long and pleasant life. It's dominated by florals at the moment, which is no bad thing, but I expect this to flesh out over the next few years in bottle. A wine of incredible depth. ABV: 11.5%
