Damien Guadagnolo

Damien Guadagnolo is a new Jura winemaker whose star is seriously on the rise - and though that phrase is chucked around a lot, it's never been truer than in this case. With seven years' work experience with a certain JF Ganevat (who bought Damien's fruit in his early years of growing) plus a career as a professional boxer under his belt (irrelevant perhaps, but a cool fact) Damien is going from strength to strength. He started off in 2015 (not the greatest year to start...) and sold off most of his fruit, but 2023 is the first year where he's vinified everything he's grown. With two hectares of vines in Orbagna, he's the definition of a humble, intuitive vigneron, who doesn't use sulphur because, in his words, 'I don't know how to...', and he's making some of the most exciting wines coming out of this most exciting region right now.
