Harvested late September at full ripeness before a short maceration, and this is so unlike any red I've had from the region. Fine boned and with some structure, but lifted by around 30% white juice. A real medley of red fruit and plenty of florals. There's a distinct green peppercorn thing going on that I imagine comes from the Schioppettino, whilst the Merlot brings something herbal. Hard to categorise. Utterly delicious.
