More atypical magic from Mr Chauvet. This time around we've got some late-harvested, botrytised Chardonnay from a parcel on red clay. Off-dry and suitably rich but without lacking any freshness. This is a hedonistic bottle that is screaming for food. When I tasted this my belly went straight to something spicy fresh from a smoking wok, but you could have all kinds of fun with this on the dinner table. ABV: 14.5%
