Buy on sight gear. Part of the plot here used to be planted with Pinot, but Hubert and his son Olivier re-planted it all with Chardy in the '90s, believing it a better match for the limestone soils. Who are we to argue with the masters? This is fresh, fresh, fresh, with creamy layers of apple, lemon and hazelnut and spice ranging from cardamom to mint. Complex hardly begins to describe this.
